My water footprint

On Friday today with our peer support buddies, We found out our water footprint and how much we use per day and we did a quiz on how much water we use here are my results. 

To reduce my usage of water per day I think I could turn off the tap while I brush my teeth or shorten my showers.

Genius hour

This is some of me and Kaycee's genius project we first made a cat collar and we are really impressed with how it turned out. Here are some photos above. Next, we made dog toys as well as cat toys they were really cool as we. Our aim is to make these animal products out of reused materials like the dog toys we made that out of an old rugby t-shirt and old tennis balls. That is just one example of what we have reused.

Digital Learning Object

This is my digital learning about my top four values/priorities.  The one that has the most arrows pointing into it is thinking creatively within their learning. I learned that my values are very important to use well learning in class and so that I can improve on them as well. I really injoyed  seeing a diffrent perspective of my values. 

2020 maths grid results

This is my maths grid 2020 results. we are trying to get 100/100 then we are working towards a faster time. we do these every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  I am working to get 100 out of 100 I am nearly there!

term 3 maths grid, 2020

Here is my 2020 maths grid results. My aim is to get 100 out of 100 by the end of the year and beat Mrs hall. my class does it every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. it helps me alot to remember time tables and I think it is so much fun!

Term three quote of the week

rocket launch

 this is our group k2b2w rockets launch work. the last launch that we did was yesterday (Monday) as you can see on slide five it didn't go as planned. I think it is because we were testing with more water on that day but the water pulled it down and it was to heavy for our rocket to go high.

maori perspective leaf

this is me and Kaycee's Maori perspective leaf that we did last Wednesday. It is about things we do in Maori. we chose kapa haka  because we do a performance nearly every year. 

K2B2W rocket design

this is K2B2w rockets rocket design of how our rocket looks. We used a Fanta bottle and another bottle's top to make it equal then we glued fins on to make it balanced. I can't wait to do a test flight 2!

K2B2W rockets moral

 this is our group's k2b2w rockets moral that we think suited the rocket lab in Mahia which is make sure numbers fit their destinations.  I enjoyed learning about the rocket lab in Mahia and there launch.

fire night!

On Sunday I stayed at the emerald in Gisborne with my grandparents for the weekend. At 2:00am in the morning we got woken by an alarm. It was a fire alarm saying evacuate the building at the nearest exit point. I was really scared and nervous because I had never been in this situation before! Hamish my brother, my grandparents and I quickly put on our shoes and went down the exit point which was a bunch of stairs leading down to a door to outside. Once we had reached that point we walked around to the entrance of the building where the other people were coming. about 1 minute after that the fire truck came they checked out the building where the red light was pointing and there was no fire they said it was malicious. They gave us the all-clear and we went back up to our rooms and went back to sleep. But about 2 hours after that the siren went off again! so we went back down and the fire truck came again and this time it was in the car park so a firefighter went to the car park and again there was nothing there no fire nothing. Everyone was getting annoyed at this point because it was now 4:00am in the morning and a man and his son had to travel to Wellington in the morning so they needed a good night's sleep. And the firefighter said it's malicious wich means someone did it they didn't know how at that point but it was so annoying. The people who worked there didn't have any security cameras so they had no evidence of who it was so they put us back to sleep and I tried to stay awake because I didn't want to be woken again. Luckily the people or person didn't do it again so we went to sleep and in the morning everybody was so tired!

orange blast

This is me Kaycee and Khan's rocket that we made today. Its name is called orange blast we named it that because we saw the name of the plastic bottle that we re-used and decided that was the name that we will go for. We used plastic sheets for the fins that Declan got in for the class. We used a cold glue gun to glue the fins and other materials on to orange blast. We are really happy with the result of it.

bella and kaycee's what's the wether project

this is me and Kaycee's what's the weather work it is a balloon barometer experiment. what you do is you get a jar and a balloon cut off the top of the balloon and put it over top of the jar get a straw some glue and a needle with your needle you are to tape it onto the straw and with your glue the edge of the straw to the balloon on the jar. now get a piece of paper write high on the top of the paper and low on the bottom of the paper and wait now you have your own homemade barometer!. but don't forget to record your barometer movement. and put it by a window that gets sun to draw a line each hour of where the barometer has moved.

hone tuwhare work

This is some of the aurora drama work I will be doing each Friday I really enjoy the aurora drama so far its been really fun! I can't wait to go and meet everybody in person next week.

K2B2W rockets safety poster

this is my group K2B2W rockets safety poster. we did it so that we knew what safety outfit we have to wear where to blast our rockets and when to blast them. I think this method will help our business T.E.D lab out a lot and it would be a good reminder as well.!

 

T.E.D lab work

 this is what me and my class have been working on this week it is a new company called T.E.D lab that we made up it stands for Tawhirimatea Engineering and design lab. my group is called K2B2W it stands for Kaycee, khan, Bella, ben, and Winston. I am really enjoying the T.E.D lab so far and I can't wait to see what's coming up next!

 this is my term 2 maths grid results I am really enjoying my time tables my aim is to get 100 out of 100 percent on my grids and I'm am trying to get more accurate here is my weekly time table results.

 this is my air emoji map. I observed that my kitchen and garage has the most dust and my lounge and backyard white fence has the least amount of dust.  I enjoyed every day waking up and seeing if my dust traps have court anything.
