environmentally friendly garden artwork

This is my week one weekly artwork slide show. I learned that you don't have to have paint or a paintbrush to create art our task was to create a piece of artwork with things that you can find in your garden on slide 5 there is a photo of my garden artwork. I enjoyed making my koru out of paua shells and pebbles from around our pool.

  1. Awesome work Bella! I can see how interested you have been in learning more about Andy Goldsworthy. I love how you felt inspired to create your own masterpiece. The koru you have made is fantastic and it was great to see you think outside of the box and use paua shells in your work.
What did you find challenging when you were completing your masterpiece?

  3. Wow that is special Bella. I wonder if you could tell me what the symbolism of that Koru is in Maori design? I know they all mean different things! I really like how you made it out of things that won't disappear over time! It will be there for a long time! Well done :-)

  4. What a beautiful piece of art you have created Bella! The use of small stones and shell reminds me of mandala which are also artworks made out of coloured pebbles or stones. I am wondering what was tricky about making your koru? You obviously put a lot of effort into it!
